Results: with dark chocolate, the level of plasma antioxidants (thought to protect from heart disease) increases by 20%. In the other two cases, milk appears to inhibit the antioxidant properties of chocolate.

Today, the last real Terry's Chocolate Orange rolled of the production line.  Terry's of York were bought by Kraft General Food, who showed that they were only interesed in the brand name. About three months ago in an act of corporate rape it was announced that the historic factory in York would close and production would move to Eastern Europe.  This sort of thing should not be allowed. It is fraud on the chocolate buying public, and people should refuse to buy anything connected to Kraft.  The British Government has always been totally spineless on this sort of thing, if we were talking about a famous French brand, there is no way an US Megacorp would be allowed to pull this sort of stunt.

This recipe is for serious chocolate lovers only! One of the recipes that came with my ice cream maker and made from a custard base, (don't worry, the eggs are cooked in this recipe) this ice cream is unbelievably creamy, rich and very chocolatey. It tends to get quite hard in the freezer, but if you put the container in the microwave for about 30-seconds on 50% power, it softens wonderfully to just the right consistency. Alternately, you can take it out of the freezer and let it sit for about 20 minutes or so before scooping. Cook time is churn time. -- posted by Patrish
